Please join us at the APLA annual business meeting, Saturday, November 20, at 12:15 pm to 1:30 pm in Colorado Convention Center 401.
We will welcome incoming officers, including new President Catherine Besteman of Colby College. Professor Besteman is a leading scholar on inequality and racism, humanitarianism, and migration. She is also a leader in the new movement to engage anthropology with broader public conversations. In addition to our other activities, this meeting is a chance to meet Catherine and contribute to APLA’s future plans for public engagement.
We will also award our Book Prize and Graduate Student Paper Prize, and you will have another opportunity to donate and receive a “Cannabis Cultures” t-shirt. We look forward to seeing you there!
