PoLAR Book Reviews Editor

Incoming Co-Editors of the Political and Legal Anthropology Review (PoLAR) journal, Sindiso Mnisi Weeks and Georgina Ramsay, are inviting expressions of interest in joining the Editorial Team and serving, specifically, in the capacity of Book Reviews Editor. The role involves receiving and selecting books to be reviewed through the PoLAR website and journal, liaising with prospective reviewers and sending out books for review, and lightly editing submitted reviews. The role would suit someone who seeks further engagement with emergent work in political and legal anthropology and is, ideally, tenured or embedded within an academic institution. Important characteristics for the role include: being well-organized; having a good knowledge of the field of political and legal anthropology; and a desire to be active and engaged within this intellectual community.

We are especially interested in working towards a vision of internationalizing the books reviewed in PoLAR and the scholars who review them. If you or someone you know might fit with this role, or have any questions, please contact us at: gramsay.polar@gmail.com and smnisiweeks.polar@gmail.com.
